One Single Impression: choices

If I have choices
I won’t like to sit here counting the petals
If I have choices
I would rather run away from your life
But I know you are always in my mind
No matter how far I go
No matter how many choices I have

A sense of sad defeat in this poem! And yet there is a touch of beautiful yearning!

Counting the petals like: "he loves me, he loves me not, he loves me, he loves me not" and so on and on...:)

But it is love that made you count petals, right?

I so love this piece of yours dear! :)

So very good but a little scary as well. Your poet's choice is made before even giving thought isn't it? Almost like not having choices. :)
