ABC Wednesday-Letter K

 Love.Life
A kid adds many happiness to a marriage life,
A kiss is the best way to say sorry to your wife,
Jealous like the sharp knife to hurt love die,
Trust is the only key to open closed mind,
Be kind enough to accept some white lie,
If our love like a kite, let it fly.
This week's letter in ABC Wednesday is K. My words for ABC WEDNESDAY are: Kid, Kiss, Knife, Key, Kind, Kite. They are all about “Love”, they are all in our life.
Love in Chinese words is:

Chinese Character "Love" Button
 It means “Home Sweet Home”
So, can you guess what I will write about letter “L” on next week ABC Wednesday? Do remember visit ABC Wednesday this lovely Meme and check out all other posts here.

ION Orchard Singapore

I visited the new shopping plaza, Orchard ION on last weekend.
Orchard Road is well known worldwide as a high class shopping area in Singapore. You can find most of the branded shops in the shopping complexes like Takashimaya, Wisma Atria, The Heeren, Centrepoint, Plaza Singapura plus a whole lot more. Now it has a hottest addition – ION Orchard, which is designed by leading architecture firm Benoy. Located at 2 Orchard Turn, it is besides Wisma Atria, opposite Wheelock Place in addition to being opposite Tangs Plaza (different facing). The nearby MRT station is Orchard MRT station.

ION Orchard promises to bring together the world’s top brands for their stores, all in one shopping compound. It has a total of eight levels of shopping space, four above ground level, and four below, bringing a total of 66,000 square meters of retail space. I was told there are over 300 retail, food and beverage and entertainment outlets can be found there. I am not that kind of crazy in shopping lady, so I just walk around in this huge shopping plaza aimlessly, just like the few other people I saw. The shopping mall was more or less empty although it was in the weekend. All the high end shops were there but also quite a few 'coming soon' shops.

The people like me do window shopping more than the people who are really buying something. I ended up to spend an hour time in Zara, and bought two jeans there. However, there are a few of the photos of ION at night which I would like to share with you here at TUESDAY My World.

Blue Monday Story

Guess what is it in side the blue package? It is a birthday cake! And I want to share with you a very short story about this birthday cake:

One day, A husband brought back this birthday cake for the wife. He was just back from the oversea trip, he was rush back for his wife’s birthday. So he bought this cake in airport, and asked the cake shop to wrap in romantic blue colors. He couldn’t wait to see his beloved wife. He thought she will be very happy that he could back home for her birthday on time.
When he reached home, the wife open the door, he said: “Happy birthday, my dear.”
“What is this? Cake? My birthday present? Just a cake?” The wife look at the cake while the husband put it down on the table.
“How much you buy? You bought it in the airport, it should be very expensive.” The husband was a bit disappointed, he expected a hug or kiss from the wife since he was away from home for 2 weeks time.
“Aiya, why you buy the cake, it is too sweet, I will get fat. Why did you buy it in the airport, so expensive. Did you buy any bag for me, there are many branded bags in Italy…”
The wife was still talking, complained here and there, she didn’t notice the husband who just took a long distant flight back form Italy, was so disappointed…

Will you act as the wife in the story? Do you have a wife as the one in the story?
Just a short story for our Blue Monday, LOL. Cheers.

Six Words Saturday No 7

Six words Saturday for this week: “Colorful post-it notes work on her.”
The photo is from Jama blog, “Colorful notes pasted by the participants of a workshop on what they have learn that day.” If you are curious what are the things in my this post related to Jama’s post-it note, read on.
My Six words Saturday for this week: “Colorful post-it notes work on her.” Of course, “her” here is not Jama, “her” mentioned is my daughter. Sometime I just get angry with her all habits, and no matter how angry I am, it doesn’t work on her…She always forgets to bring homework to school, she leaves the dirty clothes in the bath room after shower, she doesn’t cover back the toothpaste after brushing teeth, she takes out the chocolate and leaves the empty box in the fridge, or she leaves the house phone in the fridge and looks for it when it is ringing…Many such habits company our daily life until I am really really frustrated, because no matter how many times I scolded her, things are never changed.
So one day I choose to keep silent, and write a lot of post-it notes, paste all over the places where I think she need to be reminded…In the end of the day, when she was sleeping, I checked all the post-it notes, Guess what?
Some are the post-it notes are disappear… I saw the school back was packed and nicely kept by the door side for tomorrow which I left a post-it note to require her to do so, the clothes were kept in the basket for washing…Etc etc. There is a post-it note written by her in the toilet: “Hi, mom I wish the post-it notes from you will be lesser days by days.”
Yeah, she is right, a lot of her bad habits are gone, now the post-it notes from me are lesser.
“Colorful post-it notes work on her.” I will share this story with other moms on this Six Words Saturday…
And I would like to hear from you how to be a better mother.

ABC Wednesday-J for Joy

Welcome again to the weekly online collaboration known as ABC Wednesday! This week is the turn for the letter "J". “J” in my this post is “Joy”. “A thing of beauty is a joy forever.”-John Keats

 Finding joys in life can be very easy. Buy something beautiful such as this pretty Eustoma flowers and appreciate its beauty is a joy.  Plant something green with flowers, see them grow from seeds, plants are proven mood enhancers. looking at those happy blooming, joys are just between your fingers and your mind.  Make your own rose corsage for a party, you realize how artistic you are. Admire the color and shape of the petals, remember how beautiful life can be. Aren’t they the joys around us? There are many many more other joys but of course “A joy shared is a joy doubled”. Know you're loved. There's no greater joy. Knowing you are loved by the special someone and find your every piece of jigsaw puzzle of your marriage life and manage to finish them into a wonderful picture as you wanted, that is the greatest joy in marriage. So J is for Joy, J for jigsaw puzzle too. Read my previous post Marriage Life Is a Big Jigsaw Puzzle here, and wish every one find your own joys in life.

Ruby Tuesday: Old Car

Chinese men like to say their car is their wife,
They like to change car often in their life,
They want to change wife often in their mind,
They say I love my car because it is mine,
I love my wife but sometime they are telling a lie.
If you question him your heart will die,
If you believe him your imagination will fly,
So which one you like?
Die or fly?

(Hahaha. :) LOL.) Just a joke for our Lovely Ruby Tuesday. Don't forget to take a look at the new cool look of Mary's blog.

One Single Impression: Fog

A little green frog,
living in a old pond,
jumping from log to log,
waiting for the princess for so long,
the princess, standing on the dock,
alone in the fog,
looking for the lover to bring her along…
She doesn't know the little frog,
the little frog has waited for her so long...
Love is the castle-in-the-fog,
oh, the poor little green frog!

Six Words Saturday No 6

Six words Saturday for this week: “Forgive, forget who have hurt you”

This post also a reply to my dear friend who discussed with me about the topic of forgive and forget. (PS, i know you will read this post. :)
Do we forgive and forget that someone who has hurt us? I believe a lot of people will forgive but never forget.
And some of people may forget who have hurt them and just move on with their life but never care to forgive.
My girl friend still remember she has been betrayed by her ex-boyfriend, actually she forgives him already but she can’t forget the feeling of being hurt, it is a big shadow in her life, even after many years later she happily married to a husband who loves her so much, but she still can’t walk out from the shadow, she always worry being betrayed again, she is not happy at all up to now.
I believe many people have similar experience just can’t forget the matters that they have being hurt, they will probably never forget the person who have hurt them or the things that have hurt them. They are unable to forget so they remember the pain of being hurt…
I know we can't really MAKE ourselves forget anything. But you must forgive the someone who had hurt you, you must forget the hurt in your heart, otherwise, the hurt will concentrate in your heart and hurt you more. You need to choose to forgive and forget the people who hurt you (not for them, but for yourself)...and you will be able to move on with your life.
Believe me, whatever pain it caused, will fade with time....Time has a way to heal things with God’s help. So forgive and forget who have hurt you, forgive your own failure and mistake and forget those days with only grey sky on top of your head, I am sure you will be happier.

New Shoot

There are many people like to do that.

Chance

All seeds have a chance,
To grow to a tree,
Or rotten in the soil

ABC Wednesday-I for If

ABC Wednesday this week I for insect: dragonfly. So I show you this handsome insect which I like it so much.
ABC Wednesday I for If too. “If” is the poem I like it so much and would like to share with you here.

"If" is a poem written in 1896 by the then 31-year-old Rudyard Kipling. It was first published in the Brother Square Toes chapter of Rewards and Fairies, Kipling's 1910 collection of short stories and poems.

If

If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you;
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too;
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or, being lied about, don't deal in lies,
Or, being hated, don't give way to hating,
And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise;
If you can dream - and not make dreams your master;
If you can think - and not make thoughts your aim;
If you can meet with triumph and disaster
And treat those two imposters just the same;
If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to broken,
And stoop and build 'em up with wornout tools;
If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breathe a word about your loss;
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: "Hold on";
If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with kings - nor lose the common touch;
If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you;
If all men count with you, but none too much;
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds' worth of distance run -
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a Man my son!

Ruby Tuesday: Gerbera

“Two Dreams Are Never The Same, Nor Are Two Flowers Ever Alike”

No two persons being ever in the same state at the same time.
No two relationship will ever be the same.
Choose the one you love and love the one you choose.
All the pretty blooming will be fade, appreciate its beauty when it is.

Macro Monday: Gerbera

“If we could see the miracle of a single flower clearly, our whole life would change.”

Flowers and Diamonds

I'd rather have roses on my table than diamonds on my neck. ~Emma Goldman
But I will prefer to have diamonds on my neck if people around me don’t appreciate the beauty of flowers.
So to see more pretty flowers here and here, more love here, and I am still looking for diamonds, not sure where to get it.
Lol. Wish you have a great week ahead.

Single Impression: Thirst

Enjoy more beautiful Scenic every Sunday here. Scenic Sunday is a photo meme of the scenery. It can be landscapes, buildings, flowers, or anything you feel it's a scenery photo. This meme will be held every Weekend. Thank you for the host to list my previous post there. This is mine for this week, together I though I will give the photo some words to make it alive. Thank you for dropping by here. And I wish you enjoy Camera Critters too, which is the inspiration of Misty Dawn.

One Single Impression #81 ~ Thirst

For my dreams, for my wish, for my desires,
I travel long and far away from home,
For my thirst, for my hunger, for my love,
I travel far and lost my way back home,
I have food, I have drink,
But why I am still crying now and then,
On that big rock where my lover was there,
where my dreams, my wish and my desires were there,
Now leave me alone,
Looking for the water
To wash me, to cleanse me, and to quench my thirst!

Six Words Saturday No 5

Six words Saturday for this week: “I really don't like you, Mommy.”

“I don’t like you Mommy!” I though I was the only one who heard this words until I read this post.
Have you ever heard from your kids said that:" I don’t like you Mommy" ? Do you feel hurt? I did.
My daughter doesn’t tell me in person, but she wrote in her diary and blog, “I really don’t like my Mommy.” Just because I forced her to learn Chinese, just because I didn’t allow her to chat online with friends…
I am wondering how are you going to do if your children tell you something like this. Anyway, this is always my answer to her: “ It's not my job for you to like me but it's my job to guide you to grow into a person I like.” That is my answer to her, with smile and firm. Although I am really hurt.
Am I wrong? Anyway now she doesn’t tell me or write such words already. She knows I love her.

ABC Wednesday-H for Home

This is my ABC Wednesday, H for house, H for home too.
A house is made of walls and beams; a home is built with love and dreams. A house is the one you feel like to change a bigger one if you can, A home is the one always in your heart can not be changeable.
House is a place filled with all your home memory; Home is a place you always want to get back to especially when you are getting old. I have moved around from one house to another in different places in this world, but the home in my mind is only one forever, that is a place where my love are there.

One Single Impression – Romance

Scenic Sunday
, Thanks you Simon, for your photo

When I close my eyes,
Romance is in my mind,
I open my eyes, it is flying in the sky.
Romance is a butterfly,
chasing toward the light,
leaving me alone in this quiet night.

I try to recall our romantic life,

You were sweet love of mine,
I was attached to your charming smile,
You are the star that twinkles in the night.
This poem is for you then I write,
I wish you could remember our romance in life,
I walk alone in this quiet night,
Thinking of your charming smile…

Six Words Saturday No4

Six words Saturday for this week:  “What’s wrong with my turtle?”

I just not sure what’s wrong with my turtle, there is a tail out from the shell, it doesn’t go back for a few hours already…They were swimming in the fish tank happily before. There were four turtles in one fish tank before, two of them were given out to friends not too long ago. Now there are two turtles. Just only a few hours ago, Before I were about to clean the fish tank, two of them are still happily playing together, one of the bigger one like to climb up on the back of the smaller one…I the bigger one down, and notice the tail of the small turtle is out from the shell, no matter how I touch it, it doesn’t go back to the shell…

Take me home

“Take Me Home, Country Roads”
Don't you think you get used to live abroad, even if you miss your native country? Will you go back to your native country when you are old, even you already have your family, life partner, kids, when you live abroad…
What is a place so called hometown, what is the meaning so called native country in every one of your heart, you, who ever live abroad for so long, have you ever have so called homesick?

Is the sky here same as the sky in my hometown? Sky Watch Friday, I miss the sky in my hometown.

Fall Decoration

I love Autumn so much, that is my most favorite time of year. I love the crisp feeling in the air, the smells, I love to see the leaves are flying off from a big tree, the colors of the leaves mixed in orange and dark green or yellow are so wonderful. Especially maple tree, that is my favorite tree in autumn…
I love the sense of autumn so much, but now I am living in Singapore, a country has only summer, hot summer, all trees are green whole year round. I’ve to only leave a very special place in my memory for beautiful autumn…So I made this maple leaves decoration to hang on the wall of my living room.
This is also something I want to share with the Fall Nesting Week over at the Inspired Room!
